Szczesny gesture could spell even more trouble for Arsenal

Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny may find that his red card against Bayern Munich was only the start of his problems, after the Polish international was caught making a rude hand gesture as he made his way off the pitch during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat at the Emirates.

The 23-year-old had just received his marching orders for bringing down Bayern winger Arjen Robben when he made the above remark.

Governing body UEFA could decide to take retrospective action, rubbing further salt into the wound for Szczesny, who will miss the second leg in the Allianz Arena regardless.

It was Arsenal’s 100th red card under Arsene Wenger, and it was one of the most disastrous for the Gunners, with current champions Bayern now sitting pretty on a two goal lead ahead of the second leg in Germany.

Facebook to buy WhatsApp for $19 billion

The balance of power in the mobile messaging space is about to shift in a big way -- Facebook has just announced plans to acquire WhatsApp for the equivalent of $19 billion in cash and stock. The deal will see WhatsApp run semi-independently, much like Instagram. The chat service will maintain its brand and existing offices, but it will take advantage of Facebook's "expertise, resources and scale."

It's safe to say that the combined entity will have a lot of clout should the deal close later this year. WhatsApp already has over 450 million active users every month; combine that with Facebook Messenger and competitors like Line suddenly appear tiny by comparison.

Lo c R my 011 Arsenal make contact with Loic Remys representatives

According to the latest report from The Daily Mail, the Gunners are keen to sign Newcastle United’s on-loan striker Loic Remy in the summer.

The Magpies boss Alan Pardew has expressed his desire to sign his top scorer this season on a permanent basis, but Wenger may scupper his plans in the summer.

The report says the Gunners have made contact with the player’s representatives, while the lure of playing in the Champions League could be the deciding factor for Remy to join the North London club, should a concrete offer arrives.

Remy has netted 11 goals in 22 appearances, but is he the man Arsenal need next season, unless they’re planning to buy more than one striker in the summer.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s First Trailer is Here and it Looks Great

The Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is finally here and it looks like this film could be a lot of fun. Check out the video below.

I’m surprised at how good this looks. From the brief clip we had seen before, it made the film seem more questionable from the slapstick undertones. This clip shows that there will be that bit of humor, but it will play more towards the main character’s (Starlord) arrogance which is fitting. I just can’t wait to see Rocket Raccoon in action! What do you all think of the trailer?
